When all backs are turned
When all happiness and joys are burned
When I’m walked upon like shard or soot
When I can’t walk another yard or foot
When my pain is too hard to bare
When I feel like you couldn’t hear one more prayer
When my spiritual light is no longer on
When almost all my hope is gone
When I need it the most you always come through
That’s what I’ve got to do for you
When you need help to fix something that’s fallen apart
When you need a willing mind and kind heart
When you need a daughter to stand up and serve
When you need to be loved like you deserve
Just like when you help me through
I want to be the one that helps you
Just like when my heart needed to mend
Just like when you were my only friend
Now I want to be your shoulder to cry on
When this world is too cruel to shine your light upon
Let me be used as a tool in your hand
To help spread the light back onto the land
Help me to have unconditional love
Like my Father in Heaven above
Help me to be humble and lose my pride
Help me to keep up with your stride
